Job Requirements
Well, I received my MBA with a concentration in e-Business, right
about the time the bubble burst. The tumblers did not fall into
place at the right time for me to get placed within AES durring
the take over of Exxon in an e-Business roll.
|
Uppers
The chance to learn a whole different side of the company. I started in
Internal Sales, and spent 5 years there, while going to school. Now I'm on the
financial side of the business, durring a transition - giving me a whole
different view of the company.

Downers
I hate accounting. I do not know why anyone would want to do
that for the rest of there lives. Although I'm not too bad at
it, it's not my thing.
|
Lifestyle
I work 8-5... I could really use more hours in the day, and staying over is
frouned upon (apparently only by my imidiate supervisor). I am non-exempt - so I
do get overtime. The downside is that I am non-exempt - which is not considered
a professional level at Exxon.

Compensation
Straight salary, 401K match up to 6%. I get 3 weeks vacation,
because I've been there more than 5 years.

Advice to Jobseekers
There are a lot of changes going on. This is not the company
that I got hired into 5 years ago. Exxon has very strict rules,
and lots of them.
