Lifestyle
The lifestyle is laid back. Flex-time is nice due to traffic congestion and
depending on your project, most outerwear can be casual. Work hours typically
start anywhere from 8-10 am with most projects requiring one to be there between
the hours of 10 and 2 pm for meetings.

Compensation
Salary is average with the other major players in the area. Most
start from 50K and up. If one uses the benefits for college, you
can add up to an additional $7K a year for your degree. The
company matches 66 2/3 for 401K and free money is always nice.
Bonuses are given when the company does well (Usually in March).
Since the government side of AT&T is seperate entity we do
obtain an additional bonus when and if the company does well.

Advice to Jobseekers
The outlook is great for newbies in the field. I would strongly
suggest that students obtain certifications such as A+, Cisco
etc. Any insight into engineering or such courses is not
necessary but is very helpful if you like hands on type work. If
your looking for a TOP SECRET Clearance, learn all you can about
networking and or programming (C#, VB, JAVA,) and technologies
such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
