Job Responsibilities
I am responsible for all things I have proofed myself to be competent. So my responsabilities grow steadily and thus my workload does.
Job Requirements
I graduated in a socialist country where education is usually free. When others worked hard to pay for their appartement I was living in a small room in a students hostel but for free and without loosing time at lousy jobs for survival. It is sometimes very good to go back with your personal requirements but save time for something else or maybe learning. My study time was the best of my life but looking back to the past from today I would have started to dance...
Uppers
Higher education AND broad applicability or disponibility rose my value on the job market. During rezessive times employers always asked my to come.
Downers
Clear downers are management decisions which are created by accident and not enough foresight and obviously without reason. But even upon the worst - life will go on!
Lifestyle
I dress as I like. Even with customers I can show-up with casual wear. But I like to dress only with upper class brand wear and not with no-name crap. Many brands last longer and fit and look way better than cheaper products. Best recommendations I get and accept from my kids.
Compensation
I get 13 times salary per year. That is twice the usual amount at the end of November to spend sufficiently at x-mas time. Beside that the company pays a business-based payment depending on cash-flow. We can also buy a special type of cheque with 20% reduction for payments regarding everything about travel, that is fuel, railway tickets, hotel and food at site of participating members. I usually use this up to 1000 USD per year.
Advice to Jobseekers
It is very important to become indisposable part of the company. One key is to seek the work and simply do it. But attention, if you should ever leave the hierachy you should have a clear reason for. To have a clear reason for any action is anyway a very good idea. It is sometimes also good to write down reasons for doing something, because it might justify your actions if something went wrong.
