| Store Operations Coordinator |
I sincerely enjoy the environment that I work in. The President wants
to see his team succeed with
their goals. Even if it means losing them to a different brand in the
Corporation or elsewhere in the world. He encourages personal and
professional growth and recognizes a job well done. It is for these
reasons that his entire team greatly respects and admires him. He
personally offered me a promotion 2 years ago, based not on my education
or past experience, but based on how well I excelled in my current
position at that time(which was a part-time administrative assistant).
I do not have a degree or any form of advanced education, the type of
promotion I received very rarely happens to someone with my experience
and I recognize that. My manager has been my mentor for
several months, as I am fairly new to the Corporate environment. The
manager teaches me on a daily basis how to manage in the corporate
environment
and encourages me to mold my position to suit who I am. These are the
reasons I continue drive well over 20 miles in traffic each day to be
here. It is important to me to enjoy what I do and who I work with and
to be treated well. As for diversity, it is a natural flow here. As a
corporation there is mandatory diversity training and working together
training. The hours are 9 to 5 and overtime is avoided. They want you
to get your work done and go home to spend time with your family. They
ALWAYS understand when I have issues with my children or need to adjust
my schedule to accomodate for preschool hours etc... The dress code is
professional with casual fridays. Advancement opportunities, as I have
explained above are highly available and encouraged if it means your
success. But you know what, if I ever do leave here I would be hard
pressed to find this kind of satisfaction any where else in the
corporate world. I'm not going anywhere if I can help it.
