I was recommended by the head of the Physiology department from my
university. I only had one interview and was offered the job on the
spot. I felt very lucky to go straight into management out of college.
I interviewed with the CEO and Senior Program Director which went very
well. They asked me questions about why I wanted to work here and if I
was familiar with the YMCA. Honestly I had never been inside a YMCA
before because I grew up in a very rural area. I had no idea what the
YMCA was. I was very surprised when I saw the exercise room. It was
very big and elegant. The building is only 5 years old so everything
still looks new. It was a pleasant experience overall.
