The YMCA is a great place to work. It's a very laid back environment
but can get very hectic at times. The winter months are very busy
especially around the first of the year. The dress code is not very
strict either. I can wear pretty much anything I want as long as its
presentable. The diversity is not very great here at the YMCA in
Frankfort though. All of our directors are caucasion. The
opportunities for advancement are pretty good if you want to transfer.
I can stay and try to move up to CEO if I choose to. This is only for
Directors though. The front desk workers really dont have much of a
chance to advance unless they are in college at the time and choose to
saty after graduation. The hours are very flexible and I pretty much
set my own hours.
