When I left things were looking pretty grim. Morale was very low. The
stock was low. After I left Stock Market froze the stock, it became
worthless. Their product ideas and visions were great but they couldn't
make it happen. The man calling the shots was a big shot at MCI at one
time, sits on the Board of American Express, and helped to Nextel
wireless on its feet. XO (Nextlink) is the sister company to Nextel.
There were too many areas that were unreachable. There was hardly any
advertising. When they changed the name from Nextlink to XO they ran a
couple of commercials on both TV and radio but there wasn't much in the
way of print ads. The competition is MCI, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and
every other telecommunications company out there. I would definitely
think twice before getting involved with company. I'm not saying this to
be mean, I just think it has a solid foundation and they put way too
much pressure on their sales people.
