When I was interviewing out of law school there was an on-campus
interview with one partner and then a call-back to be interviewed in
Palo Alto. There I was interviewed by four attorneys and taken to
lunch by two others. Most of the interview questions were personality
rather than substantive. They want to make sure that the candidate
fits the personality of the firm and can interract with clients. The
resume and school are very important for getting the initial interview,
but once the interview starts it is more about the fit. Most
interviewers ask you questions about your resume.
