The vision of the company is to be ??Britain??s Favourite Hotel Company ??
as measured by customers, investors and associates.??
Sadly the company falls very short of achieving this for its associates ??
it is truly all about making money.
Employment contracts mean very little. They will change an employee??s
role or re-structure at the drop of a hat. They will use big corporate
clout to ensure that individuals fall into line.
In the past three years the company has had many major re-structures.
Each time people are made redundant, have to re-apply for his or her own
jobs and each time there are slightly less resources to work with.
It is a very insecure structure to work within. As an employee you have
no idea what is going to happen next, when or why. As a result it is
unsettling.
The culture of the company is to work long hours. The rewards can be
great but only for the privileged few??
