I happen to know one of the brokers in the KC office and he made a
recommendation to the president and then myself, the broker, the
president and an executive vice president went to lunch one day in
December. Upon that lunch we discussed the business since I was new to
that side of the industry. I am from the life and health side as a
producer. Their questions for me where centered around committment.
Getting started in the wholesale insurance business from scratch is
tough and takes time to learn. Particularly when the management team
says you will be here at least three years before even being considered
for a broker position.
