| Account Specialist / Broker in Training |
Working at Westrope has been a pleasure. We are in the growth phase of
business cycle and we have been proving this for last four years. For
example in 2001 they had around 50 to 60 employees, as of today
Westrope has 145 employees. Westrope is a wholesale commercial
property and casualty insurance broker specializing in surplus lines
coverage. This means we market to higher risk coverages. The
management team told me when I joined here in January of this year they
work in a team approach and that is the truth. As a broker we deal
with two sides. The first side is the retail agent and the other is
the underwriter or company. By developing this team approach Westrope
has become extrodinarily successful. As far as dress code goes you
will rarely find someone in a coat and tie. Business casual is the
required dress in my 40 hour week job. My job title is "Broker in
Training" which means I will become familiar with every position
directly related to placing insurance coverage. The brokers are the
producers who make the company go.
