Custodian When I went through the process (actually, it was November of 1988), it was basically an all-day affair. I arrived at about 9:30AM and began the task of filling out the paperwork. This took only a few minutes once I was called (I was one of about 75-100 people there). Once the application forms were finished and turned into the HR people, the fun began. I was informed that I would be interviewed that day, and to wait in the very comfortable waiting area (no sarcasm there.) Oh yes, I sat there watching Disney films and TV shows until about 2:30 in the afternoon. You got it--over 4 hours of "Disney magic" which I hadn't seen in years. My inteviewr was a black gentleman (and I mean gentleman LITERALLY), whose basic questions were which position would I prefer (when you fill out the forms, you're asked to mark THREE down,) and when could I start. You see, Disney was in a major hiring for it's parks, as it was opening a new one, Disney-MGM Studios, in only months; so one can see the basic desparation for decent people.
