Job Title Workplace Survey
Cashier It used to be more flexible when the original owner of the company was still alive. But now that his children are running the company changes are being made and not always for the best. For example, under the guise of keeping 'overhead' down they have increased the hours necessary to be considered a full time employee. It originally was 20 hours a week..then it went to 28 hours a week and now it's 34 hours a week. Along with rising health care costs that is making the employees take more of a hit financially. They are also now very nervous about employees 'working off the clock' because of the suits that are pending for the labor ramifications from that accusation. they are fairly flexible with work hours and are readily able to work around almost anyone's schedule to accomodate for school, another job, whatever. The dress code is pretty casual but not cutoffs and tank tops. It is still a business. You must be neat, clean, polite, etc.
