Some of the coordinated incentives and base salaries are different
between the
US and Canada. Although they've tried to make them work in both areas.
Usually
the Canadian entity gets the short end of the stick. Base salary is
usually less
in Canada, even though sales responsibility is still required at 1.5 -
2.0
million annually in US dollars. Vacation time is according to the
experience
gained in years. It is quite flexable keeping in mind that there is a
job to
keep
up with.
The bottom line is that the employer offers just the minimum it can get
away
with to keep the employees interested. Retirement of past employees has
basically
sucked. They've basically been dumped out the door.
