The package included thousands of stock options, which ended up costing
about 3,000% the per-share price by the time they were exercisable
(although, to be fair, the were re-priced and extended twice, so they
were only about 150% by then).
Also, there's a discount stock purchase plan, at a 15% discount, but the
stock is so volatile that it's easy to lose money on that.
I was promised 6- and 12-month salary and performance reviews; I did not
receive a single review in 18 months.
The headhunter waxed poetic about their "3-week vacation," which turned
out to be just 15 days of total PDO.
