The utility business is very different from the manufacturing
environment I came from. For me, in a very positive way. I feel more
secure about working for a utility company...let's face it, we all need
gas and electricity. Another strength is that Vectren is 'forward-
thinking'..making every effort to improve the process and be better as
an employer and utility provider. The only weakness I can think of is
that the culture can greatly vary from department to department,
depending on the manager. Having said that, Vectren has made a
commitment to give managers the tools they need to create and enhance an
working environment that improves communication, attitude and
productivity.
