Job Title Workplace Survey
Project Administrator Very Conservative in dress, corporate culture is a bit twisted as no one is really allowed to voice their business concerns, hours are crazy the communicated work week is 37.5 hours, but the reality is that you should expect to work 65-70 without compensation for lucky individuals who are exempt, opportunit for advancement is a joke. Middle management lacks people skills and the ability to develop thier staff. My manager can't/won't give clear expectations of a job description, and wants to hold one-on-ones (development meetings) once every quarter. Middle management is often dishonest to there managers which helps creates and adds to the twisted culture that Vangaurd has become. Thier sterling reputation to the outside world comes at the expense of it's employees. If you think job opportunities are just too good to pass up at Vanguard, I would strongly advise you only stay at the company for 12 to 18 months to absorbe all the information you can and then leave quickly. It's sad to say that this company was once a great place to work, but they have changed and this is not the case any more. The development programs they offer are to ivy league graduates only, if you don't come from a brand school they you can pretty much forget ever stepping into one of these roles.
