Job description and potential bosses kept changing. I didn't think my current boss liked me at all or would hire me. I was dumfounded by the time it finally came together, and very grateful as I needed another writing job as waitressing, while a fun job, is not a 'proper' job. I told my boss he should set a test to determine who would be the best candidate for the job he had (naturally believing I would hands-down win any such contest, of course.) He didn't do that, but I just found it was that suggestion that got me hired.
