The starting salary was approximately $39,000 per year as a GS-11 in
Charlotte, NC. When I left the Bureau, I had been promoted to GS-12,
and my salary was about $52,000 per year. Their were no cash bonuses,
but we could take paid leave for various awards. Vacation time was 4
hours of annual leave per two week pay period. I was also provided a
one week course in supervision at the federal level.
