Ulmer & Berne has been growing very quickly during the past five years;
increasing in size by almost 40% in that time. Yet, the business still
appears to be doing very well - the attorneys are very busy. The
Cleveland office has outgrown its current, rather unsavory office
quarters and is relocating to newer, nicer, and larger space in December
of 2005. Employee morale is very, very high. The firm has positioned
itself as a firm that gives as high or higher quality service than that
of its higher-priced competitors, and this is driving the business
forward, and has been successful to date. The biggest weakness is the
weakness of the Cleveland economy, which is utterly terrible and getting
worse with each passing week.
