I started at US Oncology in 1998. I was lucky to be there as long as I
did. I did not plan on staying there so long, but that turned out to
be the best job I ever had. I felt that they paid me well, and I
learned so much and in a new field altogether. My job was doing
billing and working with claims in the billing department at the
Central Business Office. The Executive Director has
always been professional and caring in here statements about the
employees. I also was lucky enough to have nice bosses over me that
allowed me to do my job without always "hovering".
It was until I went to work for my former boss that the job became a
nightmare.
She was manipulative, egotistical, backstabbing. She talked behind
many people's
backs... It amazed me. It was no secret how she treated
people. I was not one of here favorites at all. She took every
opportunity she could to try to scheme and undermine me and make my
working experience there awful. In the end, I had to move because my
husband is in the military. That was a disguise in itself. I could
have alwyas quit, but that would be giving in to her. It got to the
point to where I couldnt' stand it anymore. She fired so many
people... it was amazing that they kept her
on. Other than that... everything was great. I stayed on because
there was room for advancement. There was room to grow and I was not
going to let one person get me down and ruin my future. The company is
A plus,
if they would only deal with this manager. If they did that
would complete the cycle of this being a top rated company.
As long as she works there... I would not work under her for
any amount of money in the world... ever again.
