Job Title Interview Survey
Flight Attendant I responded to an ad placed in the local newspaper. This is what is known as a "cattle call". A scheduled appointment had to be obtained to attend. In previous years, it could take up to two years to get an appointment for an interview. Upon arriving at the interview I was signed in and took a seat in a large room with approximately 150 other applicants. An interviewer stopped at each chair and the applicant had approximately 30 seconds to introduce themself and make an impression. Next we were given an audio/visual test with situations and company policies. It was multiple choice and we had to answer to the best of our ability on how to handle each situation. Out of those 150 applicants, 10 were selected and the rest were sent home. Of those of us chosen, we were given the choice of going on to our second interview right then or rescheduling for another day. Most of us chose to stay. As a group we were asked to share information about ourselves and to share what our biggest accomplishments were. The third interview was also held that day and as individuals we were grilled by three flight attendant trainers. This seemed to sum up our personality traits. Next, those chosen were offerd training dates. Training started one month later.
