My current salary package is 45,000 / year. This includes 4 weeks of vacation, 2
personal days, 4 summer days off, and unlimited sicks days every year. There are
no year-end bonuses, I have approx 250 stock options, 50% of which I am vested
in, and numerous discounts on various activities throughout the city (free
admissions to most all museums, discounts off broadway shows, occasional free
movie premiers, discounted airline tickets, discounted hotel packages/car
rentals, and some discounts on consumer products, ranging from makeup to
electronics).
At my previous job, where I was an ad production coordinator, I received a base
salary of 36,000 in 2001, i was overtime elegible (time and a half), I received
an end of the year 2,000$ spot bonus, I had 3 weeks vacation, and all of the
other perks listed above.
From what I understand, the current position I am at used to have a higher
salary. With TimeInc's cutbacks due to financial constraints, I am making less
than I should. Although this is something I am not all together pleased with, I
am able to learn and master a new area of production, which will help further me
career wise in the long run.
