Texas Instruments (TI) is a very good company to work for overall, with
a deserved reputation for ethical business practices. The management
places high priority on individual responsibility and tries to practice
this themselves. While the corporate culture tends to be somewhat
conservative, diversity is encouraged and promoted. Like most high tech
companies, the working hours are long -- with a 9-hour+ day being the
norm -- management tries to help employees balance work and outside life
as much as possible. The dress code is "business casual," with a higher
degree of casual (jeans being normal for most employees).
