The hiring process was a series of peer interviews with preselected open-
ended questions. You are asked about how you would handle a variety of
scenerios. This ensures the team that you can handle a variety of issues
and always keep your focus on the primary reason you are employed. "to
serve our customers(patient or physician)". The second round of
interviews is with the CEO, COO, CNO and Director of HR. Similar
scenerio based questions again through this interview process. Finally
you have lunch with staff in the area you will be managing. An open
dialogue of questions from staff and the interviewee dominated the lunch
time. The remainder of the day is set up to meet with realtors to get a
feel for the area, the cost of housing and recreational options. It was
the most complete process I have every had and the most enjoyable. Then
to complete the hiring you have a health physical and blood work
including a drug screen. You fill out new hire paperwork and complete an
onsite questionaire about yourself. Once hired you review again with
your boss at 30, 60 and 90 days to be sure you are on track with the
facility's expectations of your performance. At the 90 day point you
also have lunch with the CEO and she wants to know what can be done to
make the facility better. If you have any suggestions feel free to let
her know. Then annual evaluations occur after the 90 probationary period.
