Working at Target was a lot of fun. The people there are very nice and
very helpful. It is definitely a team atmosphere. It was very diverse
bewtween genders and race. The hours were somewhat flexible. I was
told when I was hired that I would not work weekends, but when i was
scheduled I worked at least one weekend day. When I asked the Manager
about it, she said nobody is guaranteed weekends off. My shift was
supposed to be Monday thru Friday from 6am until 2:30pm. The schedule
was perfect because I had all afternoon and evening. Depending on what
you do is what times you will work. There is someone there 24 hours a
day, so the job times vary. The dress code is khaki pants and a red
shirt. The shirts cannot have any logos. They must be plain shirts.
Also comfortable shoes is recommended. You cannot wear sandals, but
you can wear tennis shoes. The opportunities for advancement are not
good unless you plan on being there for several years. The advancement
opportunities is basically based on seniority and not skill. Although
you can apply for any position you want.
