Current base pay is $125,000. Incentives can be earned for selling specific
products (percentage of gross). Bonus is based on a combination of overall bank
performance, regional performance, group performance and individual performance
(we do a good job of delinking actual results from rewards). Bonus can run as
high as 50% of base pay, but rarely does because of the lack of a direct link
between effort and reward.
Benefits are standard for a large, publicly traded company. The only real
weakness is the limited choice of funds in the 401(k). We are limited to
investing in STI Classic Funds and do not have access to the over 500 other
(non-SunTrust) funds that we make available to our 401(k) clients.
