Overall Business Outlook.
Gary Forsee has got the wide support of the street and is working
towards transforming the company in a big way. Our debt is consistently
declining (currently at approx. $16 Billion). PCS has broken even and is
not bleeding anymore and the revenue in the wireless side is looking
much better. Based on 1q2004 results, our subscriber growth looks strong
and has beaten the street??s expectations. So, all in all, a good time
for Sprint and given the same rate of growth, the outlook definitely
seems positive. However, given the current state of the wireless
industry, the potential for mergers/acquisitions is always present.
