The company has many divisions, covering a broad range of technological
R&D areas: aerospace, automotive, biological, chemical, robotics,
software systems, etc. As long as it has people who keep the ideas
flowing, I expect this diversification will keep it floating (at least)
for the foreseeable future. The company has a rich history of completed
and ongoing projects for state and federal governments, giving it a
fairly stable client base there. The density of ex-military employees in
management also promises many fruitful business links within the
military-industrial complex.
