I have worked for SouthTrust Bank for over 6 years and have enjoyed the
culture, co-workers, managers and my job. The managers I have had have
been family oriented, supportive of career advancement and great
mentors. The department I work in has flexible hours, corporate casual
dress and a clean and organized environment. The company supplies
coffee, ice, water, cups and condiments for the employees. The division
I am in sponsers quarterly lunch time "parties." Some examples are
fiesta day, game day and employee appreciation day where lunches
(usually hotdogs, hamburgers, etc) are given out to the employees, games
are played and prizes are won. The most valued part of my job has to do
with my manager. She has always shown support and guidance in everything
I do. She is very family oriented. I have never had to worry one time
about missing my daughters' games, competitions, doctor appointments or
staying home sick with her. My manager and my dept. director have
always helped me advance when there was an opportunity.
