The work environment varies from region to region in the Professional
Services division. The division I worked in. The corporate culture
will vary depending on the Director and Senior Practice Manager running
the region. The SPMs in the Northeast region (the region I was in) were
very good managers. Very little micromanagement. Other regions I
cannot be so positive about. Professional Services is very stressful in
that it is a traveling job. Expect to be on the road 100% of the time.
You have to go where the work is. It is a difficult time right now in
that there are few new implementations starting here in the US. There
had been more work overseas at the time I left. Siebel is not the most
employee friendly companies. But not any different from other big
implementation consulting firms. But the level of employee satisfaction
will vary from Practice to Practice. It all has to do with the local
management. If local management is good, the employee satisfaction is
high
