Friendly, challenging, exciting and inclusive would be the only way to
describe the corporate culture at Seeger Weiss. Many other firms build
tall barriers between the attorneys and paralegals, both in status and
in work assignments. Here, paralegals have the opportunity to fully
broaden their knowledge of the legal system, perhaps gaining the
greatest knowledge possible to prepare themselves for law school, and
even better, for the first few years as an associate. Paralegals have
the opportunity to perform substantive research, whether on Westlaw or
the Internet, write deposition summaries, and attend depositions. These
are only a few of the endless possibilities available at Seeger Weiss
LLP. After college, I accepted a position at what was recently ranked
the most prestigious law firm in the world, but the paralegals moved
boxes and photocopied for the majority of their time. Here, a paralegal
is encouraged to use their mind and use the position as a learning tool
for future endeavors. First and second year associates at the top law
firms are doing the same work that I'm encouraged to learn at Seeger
Weiss as a paralegal. After graduating from Columbia University two
years ago, I??ve been searching for a job where I can put my brain cells
to use again. Finally, I??ve found that place.
