Job Title Workplace Survey
Analyst The culture was standard for an investment bank: long hours (90 hrs per week), formal dress code, a fair amount of diversity and a hierarchy within each industry group. While the company did an excellent job of providing solid career exposure to junior employees, it was inadequate in providing a constructive working environment. Although the environment of frequent admonition, thankless work and disregard for personal time is common amongst all investment banks, it is still a negative aspect that impacted my time a Schroders. If the cutlure was more constructive (i.e. thank the person who just went 3 days without sleep to produce your deliverable), it would be a much better place to work.
