Working for Sanitarium was both hard and enjoyable. there was a full
dress code and every morning on enrty we would pick up out fresh
uniforms and change in the specified rooms. Hair nets and ear plugs are
an esential when working in a large noisy food factory. Sanitarium is
owned and run by the seventh day church. There church does not belive in
eating meat. All sanitarium foods are vegitarian and so is the canteen,
however you are free to bring your own lunch of what ever you desire.
The pay is wonderfull. You also get paid for break's but you cant leave
the premises and smoking on the grounds is prohibited.
People think that working on a factory line can be to repetative and not
stimulating. At Sanitarium you change job's every 3hr's, and in my
department there were more then 10 differant jobs to do through a day,
so every day was differant.
Every employee at sanitarium becomes part of the family. We all worked
so close together and each of us relise on the other to do there job
fast and get home on time. There is always a great reationship between
us and the boss, who is just one of the family. At times a job can feel
to hard or stressfull, but a friend was always there to pick you up.
I was employed at Sanitarium through a sub contracting agency called
ready workforce. They were wonderfull.
I was injured at work and was unable to go back to the same job, Ready
workforce helped he in rehabilitation and found me a new department to
work in that i could still do.
When i first joined Sanitarium i had never worked with food or large
mechinery. After one month i was fixing robotic mechinery and running
sectons of the factory line.
I was very happely employed with sanitarium and readyworkforce untill i
fell pregnant with my first child, and to anyone, man or women, looking
for a head start, i can recomend sending an aplication and starting you
caree today.
