I went through three rounds of interviews. The first interview was with
an employment agency who were hired to screen initial applicants.
Questions were mainly aimed at details of previous experience and work
attitudes to see if I was a suitable candidate for the position. The
second interview was with a small panel from SA Water, comprising of my
eventual boss and another 2 senior managers from the same area of the
corporation. This interview was fairly intense, with questions such as
details regarding previous experience and how I handled myself in tricky
situations. The third interview was a casual chat over a cup of coffee
with the General Manager of the division. This is where I was formally
offered the position. Questions during this interview were things like
what I did on the weekend, how many children I had etc.
