I was fortunate in the sense that I had worked a total of 8 months with
this company while I as in Engineering school. My university had a co-
op program which provided job opportunities for their students. I
would spend 4 months at school and 4 months working. The program took
a little over 4 years to complete. In total I worked in three
different industries (pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and consulting).
A couple months before graduation I contacted the company I wrote about
in question 1 above and asked if any openings were available. They
said there were. Since I had worked with the company as a student
before, I did not have to go through an interview process.
