Working for Rock Tenn is satisifying to a comfortable degree. The upper
eschelon of our company seem to be genuinly concerned about there
employees. The local management is however more goal oriented, they are
more concerned with business as an individual aspect instead of an
overall goal. The employees are veiwed as more of a nuisance than as an
asset. We work a 4 shift opperation 24/7 with specific days off. The
program is called a southern swing, and is set up to work 7 days on
then 2 days off, 7 days on then 1 day off, 7 days on then 4 days off,
which is equivalent to having 7 days off every four weeks. We are
allowed a casual dress code ( T-shirts, jeans, etc.). We advance in
position by seniority, we are a union shop, and by classification. Rock
Tenn is an equal opportunity employer and offers management as well as
executive positions corporate wide for all that qualify. Overall Rock
Tenn is a great job opportunity. We have good benefits and above
average wages. I would recommend emplotment to anyone.
