I did not interview for my current position. I interviewed with 3 different people, during only 2 interviews. The first was with the person I was replacing and my new boss. The second was with human resources. What stuck out to me most was my interview with HR. I was in a department where bonuses equaling 20% of our salary were relatively easy to obtain. So, the HR person was fishing for income information. She asked: How often do you earn the monthly maximum payout? Do you have any concerns about becoming an exempt (salaried) employee? Do you work much overtime? My new boss asked me typical interview questions: What are your strengths / weaknesses? What do you think you need to work on? What can you improve? What is your proudest achievement?
