Job Title Workplace Survey
Field Service Technician I actually transfered from Las Vegas, NV. The equipment that I worked on in the DC metro error was older and more likely to break. Due to the amount of equipment in the stores on the east coast it was not finacially able to upgrade the equipment. This made my job very difficult. This was because the equipment would break often, and because of this, was harder to fix because the parts were old, many of the components used in them were unavailable. We had to refurbish much of the equipment. Because the equipment was old and unreliable, the stores, (customers) were unhappy and very dissatisfied. I was on call from 6am to 10pm but worked the hours of 7am to 4pm. But due to having to work in DC and dealing with the heavy traffic I would go to 24 hour stores anytime. Many times I was at these stores between the hourse of 10pm and 4 am, and then start my regualr business day. The dress code was business casual. No jeans, but company shirts were provided but not manditory. I tried several times to be transfered to another department in the main offices in Camp Hill, PA. But was unable to do so due to making too much money, I did not have enough experience, I was over qualified, under qualified, or there was nothing available.
