Where do I begin. At the beginning when it was Smith-Klein Beechman it
was a great company (that's when I was first hired). Then Quest took
over. Some of the employees had already had dealings with Quest and
those that could retired right away. Our Manager resigned. I guess that
should have told me something but I felt hmm could not be that bad. Well
as the years passed it did get worse and worse. They first didnt want
anything on your desk that had Smith-Klein Beechman logo (kinda stupid
especially for those that had 20+ years with the company). Then it was
like they tried to get rid of all the Smith-Klein employees. But what I
couldn't quite understand was they were still using Smith-Klein system.
And who better to run the system then the employees of Smith-Klein. But
they succeed in getting rid of most of Smith-Klein and that's when
things started going downhill. Patient bills were getting all screwed
up,they were billing wrong carriers, no one took the initiative to take
the time to try to correct anything due to production..it was move on to
the next call. It has now become all about numbers, they started hiring
supervisors that had no clue what to do. Moral was very low. Management
had no clue what to do. So now we have a bucket of "leadership" that
could not lead anyone anywhere but to the door. I'm sure you can get the
picture. This place is not a place I would recommend anyone to work at.
It's numbers, numbers, numbers, the customer is no longer the number one
priority on their list and it's mainly because they have no clue what to
do.
Group leads were assistance to the supervisors. They really supported
the units. Those position were eliminated and they were required to go
back on the telephones. That took care of the opportunity for
advancements. Most of the employees wanted to become group leads and not
supervisors (due to the stress).
Bottom line working at Quest is xtra-stressful. You have more people out
on disability than any other company I have heard of and it's all due to
stress.
Would not recommend this company to anyone. That's from the billing
