My current salary is between $35,000 and $40,000 annually. Providence uses a
Paid Time Off system where all time off (vacation, holidays, sick days) comes
out
of a single pool. This is a more equitable method for a 24 hour-a-day, 7
days-a-week operation where many people have to work on holidays. Those people
do not lose out on holiday time off. There is also an extended illness time off
pool that can be utilized after being sick for 24 working hours (3 days).
Providence offers a two-tiered retirement system. The first level enrolls all
employees automatically; with Providence contributing an amount equal to a
percentage of the employee's wage to the employee's retirement fund.
Additionally, the employee can contribute to other retirement plans, with
Providence matching some of that contribution.
