I was a manager with Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS) in
Minneapolis. PBMS is one of the smaller divisions of Pitney Bowes,
Inc., but is fast-growing. PBMS provides on-site document management
services to clients in the legal, financial, and insurance industries.
The culture of PBMS corporate was friendly and very diverse. There were
many people of color and women employed in supervisory and management
positions. The dress code was dependent on the work location. Support
staff in regional offices had business casual dress, while off-site
employees working in client facilities followed the dress code in place
in that environment. The work week followed a typical business
schedule, 8:00am-5:00pm, M-F. Opportunities for advancement varied.
Off-site employees followed a management track from entry-level
associate to team leader to site manager. Advancement was less clear
for regional support staff and would have involved relocation in most
instances
