The atmosphere in the department I work in is very relaxed. Our boss is
not very strict. This is because the staff is continuously working and
we don't need anyone down our backs to tell us what has to be done next.
My co-workers are fun to be around. Overall the company is not too
diversed. Their are a few minortity lawyers and I stress the word few.
The company does try and do things so the company as a whole, can mingle
with each other such as office outings and "ice cream day" where we all
eat ice cream in the cafeteria. Unfortunetly it doesnt help much. Most
of the time the lawyers are separated from the staff because the events
are divided. One hour is for the attorneys and the other hour is for
support staff. The hours arent too bad but we are limited overtime which
can become a problem since we have a lot of work. Dress code is
corporate during mondays through thursdays and casual on fridays. There
is opportunity for advancement but the company is pretty cheap and it
might not even be worth trying to get promoted in this place.
