My company is very evil. We'll take any business and cheap clothing that
we can get. If it comes from a cheaper place, then we'll drop one place
and take the other. We use slave labor in foreign countries and child
labor where possible. Our competition is huge, from all types of
businesses. We just bought out Calvin Klein which put us under quite a
bit, but we feel it was worth it. We offer dressy clothes for men AND
women. We offer skirts, sweaters, dress shirts, ties, jackets and other
various items we'll get in seasonal. Moral isn't very good however,
because of the long wait for a crappy raise. I've talked to other
employees and they said the raise isn't worth anything, and its nothing
to look foward to. One of my friends that has been working there for 3
years says that she finally broke a dollar raise after she flipped out
and told the company that she wants more money. After working there for
3 years you would expect to be getting more than a dollar for a raise.
My other friend that works there made it to floor supervisor when he was
in highschool, which is very unlikely, but it seemed that he put forth
the intelect to get into the job and to tell his bosses that he's the
man for the job. I would say this job is optimal for high school
students because there's flexable hours, and you can request off any
time. You don't HAVE to be there or else something bad happens. If your
sick then you won't get laid off. Its also kind of fun to work there,
because the people are nice and we all get a long, as long as your not
anal retentive.
