The hiring process I have been through so far includes:
-Telephone conference call with hiring manager plus peers screening for
technical background. They only asked one question:
"Tell me about yourself"
-After one week an onsite interview was scheduled. There will be a
dinner the night before with 4 members of the interview panel. The
panel includes the hiring manager, HR, validation, another technical
manager.
Then a 1 hour interview is scheduled the next day. I am to make a
presentation about myself and make a case on why I should be hired. I
have not gone thru this interview yet.
-Then a tour of the city with a local realtor is scheduled.
They seemed to be organized and well prepared.
