Perlick is a Family owned business, they employ approx. 200 people. Of
those 200 people approx. 30 comprise the office personal. I work in New
Product Development, i work with one Senior Project Manager with out a
college education, and i report of the Director of Engineering who has
a
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from MSOE. I
myself have an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design from MPTC Fond du
Lac. I started working at the company as a temp. on a 6 month contract.
The contract was suppose to have absolutely no chance of going
permanent. However 2 months into the contract i had a chance to go work
somewhere else which would have been a more perminent position. Being
that i must have impressed them enough in what i was accomplishing for
them in the New Product side the decided to hire me in after only 2
months. Plus they gave me a raise to my contract pay. After 1 yr of
working there and being instrumental on the Development of their New
Home Hospitality Line (www.BringPerlickHome.com) I was given $10,000
increase. Now as i approach the 2 yr mark of employment with this
company, i have received a $1000 bonus and another $6500 increase. This
company is going to be nationally recognized in the near future. They
use to be primarily in the commercial bar equipment arena, but now that
we are branching into the residential market we will soon be a common
name to most people. I feel that we have barely scratched the surface
in
where we will go in the near future. I also feel that this company
values quality employees like no other that i have been around. I use
to
work at Fisher Hamilton in Two Rivers, Wi. 54221. That company is a
dinosaur that has nowhere to go but down. Perlick is 180 degrees
different. I feel that in both companies i brought the intensity,
inginuity, and overall drive to be the best i what ever i did. Fisher
Hamilton did not value that in an employee, Perlick does. And to prove
this i will close on this note. At Fisher Hamilton i made $15/hr to
basically run their custom steel design group. And left because i
couldn't get a measly extra $2/hr which i completely felt i was worth.
So i left and eventually ended up a Perlick a short time later. I just
turned 25yrs old and but when i started at Perlick 2yrs ago i started
at
$22/hr now i am making $30/hr. and i'm only 25. Needless to say this
company is going places an i'm going to help them get there as soon as
possible.
