Culture? The land of the workaholic fits the bill. Expect to work
many, many hours and when you're not, expect to become stressed as your
fellow associates will be about it. Don't expect to have any outside
interests or at least, be willing to sacrifice them...frequently. Dress
code is very low-end 'business casual'. There are those who dress with
some flair and those who barely can dress themselves. But, there are
few sharp dressers. It's not a particularly diverse place and despite
some efforts to sensitive the office (including mandatory training
on "sensitivity") and improve the firms image, don't expect that the
liberal history of the firm has a role in the modern incarnation. It's
a business and it's run by lawyers who worship at the altar of the
billable hour.
