In 1992 I sent a letter to this company which was at that stage a joint
venture between Pasminco and Billiton (both 50% shareholding). I was
interviewed and offered a job with Billiton and was asked to join the
Billiton Group (100% owned by Shell at that time). Billiton wanted to
send me to Ghana Africa for a project in a gold mine. I rejected this
job offer and started working for another company.
In 1994 I was called by the personnel department of the joint venture
(named Budelco) with the request to have another interview. I had an
interview with the personnel manager, plant manager and general manager.
Soon after these interviews, I received a job offer at the works in
Budel. I accepted the job of Technologist at the R&D department.
