Orlando Regional Healthcare is a so-called "non-profit" hospital, but the
administration is extremely top heavy and overpaid. The CEO of the
hospital is one of the highest paid in the country, yet on average, the
employee salary rate is less than the 25th percentile for this area
according to salary.com. During crisis (ie hurricanes), the hospital
only paid essential team members, and sent the remaining team members
home without pay. At the same time, they continue to compete with other
local hospitals by building facilities that are repetitive and
costly---and another dollar taken away from the wages of their employees.
They do not pay for or reimburse for certain licensure and trainings,
although they are required only by this institution. And they ignore the
needs of the community, by sending away those who are in need but without
money.
Dress code is business casual or scrubs, depending on your position.
Opportunities for advancement are good if you are in the good graces of
the decision makers.
Hours are flexible for many positions, but not for the nutrition team.
