I was hired at $25.25/hr. This salary did not change, and was not
expected to
change over the 7-year life of our contract.
One thing of note: At the time this contract was won over from another
company,
an offer to continue on the contract was contingent on our handing in a
copy of
our paystub with the previous employer. This was how they knew what
salary to
offer the 120 employees they were inheriting. Anyone not handing in a
copy would
not be given an offer. We had questions as to the legality of this move,
but in
2002 we were not in a position to lose our jobs.
We had no bonuses, no stock options, no raises and two weeks vacation
regarless
of senority. On our contract, IBM distributed monthly
peer-to-peer awards which came with a lunch out. OAOT also has an
employee
computer purchase program.
